CharGoal — Advanced Fintech UI UX Design & Mobile Strategy

Char Goal is an innovative Fintech UI UX Design project created to empower individuals struggling with personal financial management. Developed to transform habits around budgeting and expense control, the app addresses widespread economic challenges including poor spending visibility, low savings rates, and a lack of long-term financial planning. Through clear visual feedback and automated expense categorization, Char Goal turns complex financial data into an intuitive, stress-free daily experience.

UX Research & Problem Framing

To ensure the product was built around genuine human behaviors, the project began with a structured UX research phase. My work focused on identifying where friction occurs when tracking personal expenses and why traditional budgeting tools often lead to user drop-off.

Key user insights revealed three primary pain points:

• Lack of Spending Control: Difficulty tracking small daily purchases, leading to unexpected month-end deficits.

• Low Savings Motivation: A disconnect between short-term spending habits and long-term economic goals.

• Manual Entry Fatigue: Users frequently abandoned finance apps due to tedious manual transaction logging.

Fintech UI UX Design, Product Strategy & Interactive Prototyping

Translating research insights into product features, I collaborated on the UI design and product architecture using Figma. The goal was to build a clean, approachable visual system that reduces cognitive load and encourages daily financial reflection.

• Automated Expense Categorization: Designed a dynamic classification framework that automatically organizes transactions into visual categories, giving users instant clarity over where their money goes without manual effort.

• Digestible Visual Summaries: Structured dashboard analytics using accessible charts, progress meters, and color-coded financial metrics to make income-to-expense ratios instantly readable.

• Figma High-Fidelity Prototyping: Built interactive, clickable prototypes to map core user journeys—from initial onboarding to setting savings targets—ensuring smooth navigation transitions and responsive UI components.
